Partenza per Nervesa della Battaglia.

L’itinerario si sviluppa lungo la dorsale del Bosco Montello e la Panoramica orientata verso il Piave. Il luogo è particolarmente interessante per l’aspetto paesaggistico e suggestivo per i numerosi ricordi legati agli avvenimenti della Prima Guerra. Le tappe prevedono la sosta all’Osservatorio del Re, chiamato così in onore al Re Vittorio Emanuele III che dalle feritoie osservava le battaglie, quindi il Cimitero Inglese, il Sacello dove cadde con il suo aereo Francesco Baracca, le rovine dell’Abbazia di Sant’Eustachio, legata alla figura di Giovanni della Casa che vi scrisse “il Galateo”, fino all’Ossario di Nervesa della Battaglia che ospita le spoglie di oltre 9.000 soldati e quindi la storica Barca da Ponte, sulle rive del Piave fino al Tempio Votivo alla Madonna del Piave nell’Isola dei Morti.

Pranzo in ristorante sui colli con menù tipico, bevande incluse.

Nel primo pomeriggio visita alle cantine di  uno splendido edificio di stile palladiano risalente al 1622, sorge ai piedi delle colline trevigiane, tra le zone D.O.C.G. del Prosecco di Valdobbiadene e quelle D.O.C. dei vini del Montello e del Piave con degustazione.

Departure for Nervesa della Battaglia.

The itinerary develops along the ridge of the Montello wood and the Panoramica oriented towards the Piave. The place is particularly interesting for the landscape and suggestive aspect for the several memories related to the events of the First War. The stages include a stop at the King’s Observatory, named in honor of King Vittorio Emanuele III, who watched the battles from the loopholes, then the English Cemetery, the Sacellum where Francesco Baracca fell, the ruins of the Abbey of Sant ‘Eustachio, linked to the figure of Giovanni della Casa who wrote “the Galateo” to the Ossuary of Nervesa della Battaglia which houses the remains of over 9,000 soldiers and then the historic Barca da Ponte, on the banks of the Piave up to the Votive Temple to the Madonna del Piave in the Isle of the Dead.

Lunch in a restaurant on the hills with typical menu, drinks included.

In the early afternoon visit to the cellars of a splendid Palladian-style building dating back to 1622, located at the foot of the Treviso hills, between the zones D.O.C.G. of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene and those of D.O.C. of Montello and Piave wines with tasting.
